Thumb TGP design contest ?!
 

I'm looking at 2 options for my new TGP( Design ) !
1. run a contest for the best Thumb TGP design
2. go with a good but well priced designer
if i run a contest what is a fair amount to offer as the prize, and
how long should a design contest last ?

how much should i offer to make it attractive enough ?

$500 is a good prize amount since the best in the business charge around there

If you want to run a contest, be prepared to pay more than you would have bu just going to a designer. I think the contests are a good idea, myself, because the purchaser gets to pick and choose among the entrants, the designers get exposure and whoever gets chosen makes more than he would have from a straight design job. I also think the design contests help keep GFY lively.

orchiddesigns.com = $300, but totally kick ass!
dynamixxx.com = $55, very nice for the price!

Orchid is 300 Euro and he is the best

$500 seems a little steep, after posting this a few designers contacted me already wanting to get the job !
(none were over $200)

300 Euro will get you the best designer. Picking and choosing from his work and several others is well worth $500 :2 cents:

and dont be so cheap, I know you can afford it!

looks steep to me too... I say $300

that should get a decent turn out... and I would make it so that you dont have to pick a winner if the designs are all shit
