POST 911 / AFGHANISTAN / IRAQ / Feel safer yet?
I think there is more of a threat now than there ever was and my tax dollars are fueling the fire.

Invading Iraq insured that there would be enough world terrorism for the next couple of generations, to virtually guaranteeing all the old Cold War defense contractors new Homeland Security contracts.
I feel less safe in Chicago, I don't fly less than 500 miles due to the hassle of going to an airport and having my bags checked by people just as incompetent as the people they replaced, and in some cases more criminally minded. In the three years since 9/11, most cities police radios can't talk to the fire radios, the intelligence community still sqwabbles between themselves, and just a trickle of the grants to make cities that were more than likely to be hit have been disbursed. Do I feel safe, FUCK NO! :feels-hot |
i don't want to say names..
but a well known president is feeding hate & terrorism everyday |

Tiny wee bit safer, seems most of the terrorists are hanging out in iraq now. So as long as that is their main country of choice for the time being my saftey feelings are up .0001%
Plus I think they are waiting on Athens. |
Now people who used to blame Turkish Empire understand somethings :1orglaugh
|
yep, its gotten worse

A fact of life is..
Bad things are going to happen from time to time.. 9-11 was one of those bad things.. I feel the same safety level... No change.. But I do feel that the United States actions in Iraq has added fuel to the fire, and the prisoner abuse photos have solidified American Hatred for generations to come... The hole has been dug deeper... There is no "simple solution" |

Really ?. Unfortunately, news like this isn't good for either the right or the left. So ya, I feel alot safer. If I was staying in Baghdad it would be a whole different story.
