Qantas might be the safest but it's not the best.

Singapore Airlines and Thai International are both better in my opinion. Possibly JAL too.

:2 cents:

bawdy 05-22-2004 11:44 PM

i dont know if they are best or the safest... they havent had a death (well except for two pilots in the very early days that they never mention)... my guess is that it is a statistically anomaly that they havent had a fatal crash

amaze 05-22-2004 11:47 PM

No Qantas was the best, it is still the safest, I do belive Singapore airlines is the best overall today
:thumbsup

Firehorse 05-23-2004 12:24 AM

Hansm 05-23-2004 12:34 AM

i did fly with both from the netherlands to australlia.

and need to say qantas is the best and next time im choicing qantas too.

nice service, eeh dont forget to add a VISA to your list.

10$ on some australlian eta website, everyone who isnt living in australlia needs it too. or a visa. but eta is everywhere avaible in normal countries if the person isnt coming from a country like ukraina, russia, etc.

They have never lsot a passenger !! Not bad record seeing they have been around since 1920. The oldest airline in the english speaking world.

Qantas's international first class cabin is no good at all.. I was very disappointed. The seats don't have enough operating options, the armrest does not go down so you can have more room while you sleep, and the flight attendants weren't any more attentive than in business class. Even United's first class cabin is better and that's not saying much...

Depends on how you fly.. I don't see what the difference would be amongst the economy class of various airlines?

Qantas is the safest and has prolly the best maintanence in the world. But obviously Singapore Airlines have better planes at the moment. Apparently their maintanence on them is quite shit though.

BRISK 05-23-2004 01:32 AM

Qantas is not the best in my opinion.

Singapore, Cathay Pacific, and Emirates are all better airlines from my experience

We believe that
Q ueensland
A and
N orthern
T erritory
A erial
S ervice

Is the best trans-pacific airline Australin - U.S.A. thats why we are going to use it to carry our winner of the Webmaster of the year competition to Australia

Emerites and Singapore Airlines are also Very Good.

ClamSmacker 05-23-2004 02:57 AM

Qantas is awesome and remember aussie girls clams are best:thumbsup
2nd place would go to Singapore.

I wish Ansett was still around, they were the supremo of Airline companies.

Mikey_219Inc 05-23-2004 03:00 AM

foo ive never been to australia but i can tell you best in continental us is JetBlue - they rock - i BEG them to fly int'l

I use KLM unless they dont have my route. those dutch people got their shit together.

quantum-x 05-23-2004 03:05 AM

Dude - Don't put your prize winners through the pain of QANTAS. QANTAS staff are rude, indifferent, brash, and for the amount you pay for the ticket, the service and package is very dissapointing.

In my experience, Emirates provides one of the best services, with Singapore Airlines coming very close behind.

That aside, S/A chicks are good looking, and the food is better.

Q - Quick
A - and
N - nasty
T - typical
A - Australian
S - Service

;)

I really Miss Ansett.
One of the worlds Great Airlines.

When they were around I found them to be waaaaay better than QANTAS, up untill to the last 10 years of their life. I lost 300 k ff points when they ceased flying, sure so many other did also.

Tim, QANTAS for safety, Singapore for service...

and when you're flying them (I mean me because I'm gonna win!) domestically to the Gold Coast use Virgin. Branson gets all the seriously hot flight attendants.

Now if only they'd forget about coffee and penauts and instead polish my flange and make the trip seem a little quicker.

d00t 05-23-2004 08:26 AM

QF all the way :thumbsup

cathay pacific has the best F product IMO

oneworld alliance airlines are by FAR the best

Raf1 05-23-2004 08:39 AM

I've always liked flying with QANTAS the best

May be in cabin service but I like to think there are other aspects that have to be taken into account when I choose what Airline to fly with like - Safety !!

Resolute 05-28-2004 01:50 PM

Now Virgin Blue has Just won the best airline of the year award - Good for them. Dont know if you know about Virgin in the U.S.A.
