If she's a friend of your ex, it looks like she's waited a set duration before she asked you out, so odds are your ex won't complain about it.

However, hanging out with her will bring you into more and more contact with your ex. It's up to you and her how comfortable that will be.

If she sayed that, she probably knows that the girls likes you or something like that. :) And if she was such a good friends of hers she would never have sayed that. She will get pissed at you if she finds out then ( but do you care about that, you can't have your ex telling you who you can and can't see right? )

Why don't you just go out with her, relax and have some fun. Maybe something happends, maybe not. At least you will have a good time and get to know her a bit better ( I asume that you don't know her that well, because your ex told you not to talk to her). No need to get stressed before hands right?
