To bad the search function here is still down there were plenty of threads made on the subject.

They own the patents to all streaming media. Audio and video. If you have it on your site or link to a site that uses it that hasn't settled with them, they want a nice large % of all money you make before deductions and full access to your books. Going to court to get it from ya.

Acacia basically sucks because they are trying to impose a "tax" on adult webmasters, and they are using a dodgy patent to do it.
