You pay a designer and he tells you that the design will be ready soon.

You try to reach him by Email, ICQ and nada the guy VANISHED OFF THE FACE OF THE FUCKIN EARTH!

But then you decide to post on GFY and say "hell "designer name" where are you?"

And in a matter of minutes

His mom is out of the hospotal
His high speed internet is working again
He is at a hotel responding
His computer is now working it had a virus

And many more...

Oh wait, why didnt he respond to your ICQ's? Well hes been having problems for a while with ICQ (the problems started after he got your paypal, ICQ and PayPal do not get along)

Well i couldnt pay for my moms hospital charges so they took my internet and house so i had to get a hotel, but their computer had a virus.

You're right. Even reputable people fuck it up sometimes.

Sometimes a designer runs out of inspiration and stuff. It happened to me a few times. That's why I smoke lots of weed... it makes me come up with new ideas. I fucked it up too a year ago but now I'm trying to straighten things out. From now I take the money after I finished the designs... this way I won't fuck it up again.

Sounds a bit like "eoj detar X"

This is the sad truth, too bad when they start responding after a post on GFY they usually don't come through anyway. I've been waiting for a project since January and I'm still fucking waiting....

I've never had issues dealing with any of the reputable people I deal with - nor have any people had issues with us. Maybe we define reputable in 2 different ways

Yup, post something bout someone on gfy and they magically get a hold of you right away.

Well, I'd think if the designer provides you with a cellphone number that can be contacted 24/7 or at least during regular business hours and is answered, then that'd eliminate a lot of crap that can happen. Some people do have bad luck sometimes with things acting up, but that's why I think people should provide their phone number incase of such 'bad luck' situations.
