Have you ever seen a "Liger?"
http://www.sierrasafarizoo.com/animals/liger.htm
I was watching the Humanzee documentary the othe rnight and they were discussing cross breeding and they showed this Liger...a cross between a Lion and Tiger. This thing is fucking huge. For some reason there is a homrone that keeps the lion *if I remember correctly* from getting too big but when you mate it with the tiger this hormoone does not keep the offspring in check. The back of the Liger they showed on the documentary was almost as high as the shoulders of the trainer walking it. This fucking thing was like a horse. |
you're a wealth of information bro!

Look at this thing...god damn.

I've stood next to lions...and I mean without a cage between myself and the lion..as well as mountain lions.
We were searching for a lion for Lowenbrau and used the mountain lions for a Puma commercial . The trainer just let the lion wander free around me as I video taped it..anyway these things are intimidating enough without seeing something this big coming at you: http://www.answersingenesis.org/home...s/223liger.jpg |

I am fascinated by all varieties of cats, large and small. That is very cool! :thumbsup

I've heard that it depends on which parent is which - for example if the father is a lion and the mother a tiger - the offspring is huge - but if the mothers a lion and the fathers a tiger then the offspring is dwarved. It was on the Tonight Show once - I couldn't find any website to verify it though.
