I think it's cheating. It's just that betrayal of trust. I guess if he/she gives the okay, then it's alright. But if you're doing it behind her back, then yeah, it's cheating.

Yes, I absolutely consider it cheating. For one thing, it can sometimes lead to offline cheating. For another thing, even if it doesn't, it's kind of a mental/emotional cheating. If it bothers your significant other, it's wrong. If it doesn't bother them, then it doesn't really matter if it's cheating or not. You should never deliberately do anything that you know would hurt your partner if you can avoid it.
