Bill Cosby Pisses Off Black People During Washington D.C. Speech!
As Cos tells it, we ain't learnt nothin' yet
The Washington Post May 21, 2004 Bill Cosby was anything but politically correct in his remarks at a Constitution Hall bash in Washington commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision. To everyone's astonishment, laughter and applause, Cosby mocked everything from urban fashion to black spending and speaking habits. "Ladies and gentlemen, the lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal," he said Monday night. "These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids - $500 sneakers for what? "And they won't spend $200 for 'Hooked on Phonics.' ... "They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English," he said. "I can't even talk the way these people talk: 'Why you ain't.' 'Where you is.' ... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. ... Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. ... You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!" When Cosby finally concluded, Howard University President H. Patrick Swygert, NAACP President Kweisi Mfume and NAACP legal defense fund head Theodore Shaw came to the podium looking stone-faced. Shaw told the crowd that most people on welfare are not African-American, and many of the problems his organization has addressed in the black community were not self-inflicted. and he was right. |
Bill Cosby is a white racist trapped in a black mans body. He's done this before. Probably used the same exact speech.

God forbid if he's fairly accurate with his statements. Generalizations to be sure but not that far from the truth. And, yes, more white people are on welfare than Blacks in raw numbers but not by the percentage of the population.
If Black leaders really want to deal with Black issues, they need to face their specific issues straight on instead of being offended and offering excuses. Just my :2 cents: |

I only make statements like that about poor people in general. If you say "poor people" then it's not racist unless the listener interprets "poor" to mean black. But then that would make them racist, right?
Seriously though, half the country needs to learn to speak English properly, pull up their pants, go to school, and improve themselves and get a job. I'm tired of supporting stupid, lazy people. |
Who's selling $500 sneakers these days?

why or how is Bill Cosby a "white racist" or "racist"? |
No, Bill is just a black man saying it as it is. Comedians are the only people in our society allowed to really tell it how it is. Listed to Dave Chappel or Chris Rock and they commonly take shots about how the broke black people are broke because they are ghetto and act ghetto.
Of course the same can be said for the white trash I grew up with. It only makes sense that if you are making $7.00 and hour, that you really shouldn't be buying a $45,000 pickup truck just 'cause it looks cool and your old one was 3 years old. It is just much more easy and popular for black leaders to make excuses and blame the problems of black america on someone else. That is actually very common, and works really well. In fact I know of one guy named Hitler that used it to become the head of his own country and almost take over a good chunk of the world. |
Let me just come back and add that it is very obvious that Bill Cosby detests 'acting black'. At an awards show a while back a black female comedian (who only had a show for a while) tried to talk to him for a moment on camera about comedy on TV and such and he coldly slammed her with with "well for one, we spoke proper english" which she obviously didn't.
