It's people who followed the "fake screenshots" sheep and kept promoting them, as well, people liek me who still had live freesites and galleries that they could not delete

The freesites and galleries? Shit man, change your linking codes to a full page ad. Then give your surfers a choice of where they'd like to go. Similiar sites to the PIB ones you were promoting.

IF you get blacklisted anywhere and it's HIGHLY unlikely, explain the situation and you'll be reinstated in no time.

I have been using FPA's since I started in this biz. I did a few test campains with direct linking. Those I cannot change as I don't have time to explain to anal fag tgp admins about link changes. I just leave the traffic trickle as is. I cut my losses.
