How much would you pay a designer to make these banners (or how much would you charge to make them if you are a designer yourself)?

Personally I would ask around $5.00 a piece. those would be simple as hell to throw together.

I would pay a max of 1.00 each.
If my designer did them I would delete them and take away his drugs.

lol..I wouldn't take away his drugs..I'd encourage him to OD..if I had someone make them for myself.

I usually do all my work myself too -- I've never hired a designer before which is why I'm asking . . . seriously, I have no clue what other people's standards are, how much people pay for this stuff, etc. so want to get feedback on it.

they're simple, but they're clean and easy to read. i've seen a lot of designers whose banners were complex or blurry.

That would be my fault and not the designers.
We have not done anything with that in a god awful time.

My :2 cents:

I previously said $5.00 a piece but now that I look at them Im thinking $2.50 each would be better. Those are about 5 minutes work at the most. simple image, a little coloring and some text. Nothing major. Not saying they are bad but to charge much more than that would be too much.

Thanks -- yes, I did do them. But I would rather pay someone else to do it; especially if they can be done as cheaply as everyone is suggesting.

So now I just have to figure out who will make banners like these for fifteen cents a piece :1orglaugh

As someone who isn't a designer, does everything herself and is totally going on intuition I have no clue what everyone else thinks is "good". A bunch of flashing text and stuff?

What do you think makes a good banner ad and who do you think makes the best ones?

If I knew what goes into making a good banner I'd be making money doing that, example look at my pump-room button, 9th grade fx creation lol:)

FYI: Trixie's asking how much a real designer would charge to make something similar. She's not looking for work. :winkwink:

:1orglaugh I couldn't stand to make a living on design -- I can barely do it for myself -- which is why I was hoping to find someone to do them for me. Just curious what people would charge for what I need and who are good designers.
