A scumbag stole my whole site. Unable to locate his ass as of yet. So I created a page with all hotlinked photos stolen from me on it. I'm trying to burn his bandwidth through the fucking roof. There are no links on it, because I don't want traffic, just want to burn his ass. Sens it some traffic if you would. He does not use htaccess, so burn baby burn!

Add in a Meta-refresh after 10 seconds and have 10 friends let it run all night.


6 times per minute, 10 people = 60 per minute
3600 per hour

So around 25,000 loads after 8 hours of 10 people running it at night

That isn't going to work unless you clear the cache before
the 10 seconds are up. The browser has to download the
image to burn the BW so if the cache has the image it isn't
going to download a second time.

Wouldnt the no cache tag take care of that?

No, for one he is trying to image source "another guy" by
merely hotlinking so he doesn't have page rewrite privileges
on "another guy's" host.

For two, it's too simplistic a way to try and image source someone
with a hotlink refresh. To do it right you have to have a high traffic
site (traffic you control) and then you 1x1 pixel the "other guy" via
your traffic.

I'm not going to post any image source code in a public forum
[for one] and who knows who's who in this "he did me wrong"
claim. You might be helping someone with malicious intent
against a perfectly nice guy.

That used to be more effective when bandwidth was a couple bucks or so a gig. :Graucho
