"10 dollar sites" Are they or were they ever a good idea?
I haven't heard too much lately about this business model. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this model?

It seems that bangbus is now $9.95 a month. This model must work if you are very large with member retention.
|
I think it does ... I've tried some and it definitly converts better . Retention must be high as fuck too .

If they are still out there to promote.. they are making money. :2 cents:

The 10 Dollar bandwagon was a decent run but the bottom line came to the Pay out structures.
Not enough incentive $ for webmasters to push them as hard. Again the theory lies in the fact that regardless of the monthly amount people will pay anything to see what they want to see. Whether its 5.00 or 50.00 is of no consequence till you come to Credit Card fraud on the consumer end. |
