I have found it easier to turn profit with 1/10th the amount of traffic as compared to adult. Target women:Graucho

EscortBiz 05-20-2004 06:58 AM

cant get enough

jhauser 05-20-2004 07:04 AM

Veterans Day your funny target women!!! Women wear the money pants... Whoo hoo for the ladies managing the budget.

Warden 05-20-2004 07:24 AM

I started off in adult in 99'. Now I work for a mainstream company and its awesome. I meet professional athletes, great pay, can show the kids where daddy works etc.

oh for for those interested we are converting 1/211 currently

Jer 05-20-2004 07:35 AM

Yes, but as EB said getting traffic is way more hard than in adult.

yes but alot more willing when you offer good shit to women, you dont need 500k uniques a day by any means.

Dusen 05-20-2004 07:38 AM

Warden: I think you should give me some ideas about female products and create some constructive competition for yourself. I've been trying to suss out some valuable female-targeted ventures for a while and not doing too well.

What I am learning is that yes it is harder simply because the mainstream industry isn't centralized like adult is. I have yet to find a mainstream WM board that compares to any in adult. However once you do get the traffic, I found that it is way more fruitful. After all, would companies like Addidas, Callaway and Easton etc. be interested in partnerships with an adult company, of course not?

Doc911 05-20-2004 07:40 AM

I do a store targeted towards women and a political forum.

I hang out here occasionally: http://www.abestweb.com/

Hope that doesn't break the rules. It's 100% mainstream.

Thanks for the link. We have one or two of our sales reps that hit that board and if I remember correctly it's good for mainstream but still no comparision to GFY. Prophet knows a lot more about that board than I do.

hydro 05-20-2004 08:52 AM

yea i run a fuel saver site, these little things cost $3 and sell really well at $80 :winkwink:

Hey if anyone wants to do some mainstream traffic trades. We have a free information site we have set up just for that purpose at net-411.com. Hit me up via ICQ or AIM if your interested.

EviLGuY 05-20-2004 12:38 PM

I have a bunch of mainstream sites.. none of them is going to be the next yahoo.com but they make decent cash.

I have a local movie listings site that does AMAZINGLY well also. I think thats the way to do mainstream right now unless you have a lot of cash.. go local.

I have local advertisers paying 3-4 bucks per CPM for ad space.

bdld 05-20-2004 12:43 PM

healthstop is as mainstream as i get.

Firehorse 05-21-2004 07:34 AM

We have a couple and more on the way, diversification is good for us! :thumbsup

slapass 05-21-2004 07:38 AM

Main stream is way more profitable per click. it is just gettting the damn click.

I like that I can show a date what I do for a living without giving away the late night activities to come.

taboo_dude 05-21-2004 07:47 AM

http://www.affiliatetracking.net
