CCBill checking question...
Is there a way to set up ccbill checking so when a customer signs up he has to use a real e-mail address?
I am not sure if it is already set up this way, or you have to do it manually. Where is the option located? I e-mailed support and they said it couldn't be done, but I think I read on GFY that there is an option for verified e-mail addresses. Thanks! :glugglug |
Man, it's there company. I'm guessing if they say it can't be done, then go with the theory that it can't be done. I'd think that they would know best. Lol!

There might have been a misunderstanding. We should have the option to verify email address on online check signups. Contact our client support department for more details about this, but please icq me. I want to see what you were told.
Thanks 45471840 |
Thanks all! Does anyone know how to do this? I cannot find where the option is.

For 9 monthes I have had the same guying joining my site every 2 weeks and bouncing checks, using bogus email addresses and personal info. I have asked 4 people with CCBill if there was a way to verify /require a valid email address and was told...NO....No...No.....No Please tell me who your contact with ccbill is so I can go yell at someone  Ivy |

That sucks, Ivy. Has to be frustrating.
I was in contact with CCBill today, and the guy who I exchanged e-mails with said they could do it, but it has to be them that enables it. I was kind of hoping I could enable it myself, but the fact that there is something in place to help eliminate fraud is good enough for me. Just send them an e-mail! [email protected] Michael Sherron was the guy who helped me out, and FAST too. :) |

And for Va2k :321GFY no reason to be an ass on this issue. I stated the facts and my experience and as I was just told, it has NOT been added into the admin yet as it has just been testing this past week. Ivy |
Do we need to call to have this done or can it be done automatically on all accounts? It seems every check I've gotten in the past 2 months is a fraud. I have stopped offering them on my new sites.
I ask the fraud dept to ban the users and they say they do however the same guys keep signing up as well... probably the same idiots your having problems with Ivy. Ivy let me know how it goes with you and then I'll call and ask for it too... |
You have to get past the drones before you find anyone that knows anything.

or so I was told Ivy |
Oh that's interesting if now people with bogus information can't get access. Can they now confirm the information in real time finally, I wonder? I took off the online checks option off my site a year ago cause 70% of the customers were fraud.
I'm also afraid of implementing the new CCBill 900 phone billing because it sounds like there'd be a high percentage of non-payment issues, but no one's been able to provide me any information about this. |
