and no one knew about it except for you, what would you do with it?

send it back to the owner. not that i believe in karma or anything but i would give it back for two reasons. firstly being i would feel like a hahahaha if i didnt and secondly i would feel for the person who lost it imagining if i was in their situation.

look inside and go from there :)

Depends, I would give it back if the one who lost it was a webmaster, friend or family. Otherwise I would take it.

return it as I would want someone to do if they found my wallet.

I found a wallet on the train this morning. I ran out of it and gave it to one of the security guys. I know what its like to have shit stolen and I know how happy I would be if someone returned it.

Definitely send it back. I've done this before. Why? Because I know if it was me, I'd really want my wallet back. I very much believe in the "what goes around comes around" idea. :)

I do believe in Karma so I would return it. But not just for Karma reasons. It is simply the right thing to do.

id send it back coz ive had my wallet stolen a few times and replacing all the ID sucks

but as FH said - if they owed me money I'd be sure to impose a "wallet recovery tax" :Graucho

it happened to me once... I went to a restaurant to get a carry out for all the girls at work and dropped my wallet in the parking lot leaving the place..... the guy seen my car drive away and followed me all the way to work.. like 2 miles away.... I was soooo happy that he did that... My credit card and cash were still there... he was very nice! I would definately do the same if I found a wallet.

i have..at the art museum last summer. Mrs Deeds from NY. Sent it back to her. She sent me back the cost to send it and two beautiful designer silk scarfs

depends on how much is in there. But I would send it back. It's hell to have to replace your passport ect

I was getting ready to leave the strip bar where I worked and dropped my little bag full of money ($1000) in this other chicks bag by accident (oopsie, one too mnay drinkiepoos) . When I got home and couldnt find my money I freaked out.
The next day I was crying at work when the girl who has the locker next to mine returns my bag back to me... I really could not believe it..all the money there. She said her boyfriend was trying to talk her into taking a vacation..lol. I tipped her $100 on stage that day for being honest :thumbsup

I've had my wallet lost twice. One time it was returned by someone who found it on the street in downtown LA. A poor person and they returned it with evey dollar still there.

I had my wallet left on the counter in CompUSA last year. When I returned to the store the clerk said oh yeh we found it outside in the parking lot but it looks like someone took your money.

The kid was a lying sack of shit and couldn't look me in the eye when he was telling me this crap. I knew I had left it on his checkout counter and it didn't have any dirt on it which it would have if it had fallen in the parking lot.

i used an atm the other day in the a govt building, and someone had left their wallet on it. i grabbed it, and brought it to the security desk around the corner.

there was an old man talking to the guards and it turns out it was his, still waiting for the karma to come back around. :1orglaugh

I went to the ATM one day and when I pulled up there was already 80 dollars in the machine and the car who was before me was already down the road and turning at the light. I just took it as my lucky day, I wasn't going to chase after this car. I tried to withdraw as well so it didn't look shady, I think the machine was malfunctioning because it never gave me my 20 and I assume the guy behind me got my 20. They credited that back to my account. Guess fleet caught on that their machine was fucking up.

I did that when I was young found a wallet with about 7000$
in it returned it to the owner with my parents and got 20$ as reward:mad:
even my mother called him a cheap shithead!

I lost my wallet once with all my ID's, money, credit cards.

The person who found it came to my home the same day and return it with everything in it.

I had like $200 inside which I try to give to him but he refused, I offered him to then go together for dinner and he accepted.

Up to this day, we keep a relationship that has extended to doing business sometimes.

I will not pick it up at all maybe there is explosive:glugglug

Or maybe the owner has a transparent string attached to it and is just waiting in the bushes for someone to try pick it up :(

I also agree with "what goes around comes around", but I found a wallet recently and gave it back with everything in it, and had my purse stolen recently with nothing returned. Oh yeah, and a broken window when he/she broke in, so I didn't even lose mine. Karma...I guess I'll see!

I was out looking at real estate, snow everywhere. I'd bought this huge leather jacket with pockets everywhere and had took some money out for a deposit if I found the right place.

Got home after looking around - no wallet. I was fucked. Luckily I always carried my cards separately but I kissed my 2k goodbye.

A week later I got a call from my insurance company who had been contacted by the local police. A chinese man (who I'd seen looking at development earlier that day) found the wallet and handed it in.

It was all there. Bless him.
