I remember my professor use to tell this story about one of his buddies. He was a smoker. He'd constantly burn his tongue and would always lick his lips. The thing is the skin cells from the outside of his mouth got grafted by the burns to the cells in his tongue. So he had a hairy tongue.

Why did I have to look at that? This thread is going to give me nightmares. :(
