Air travel horror story (long story)
 

friday, i took a filght out to the midwest, on northwest airlines. crazy fucking delays left and right, and i end up catching attitudes from their counter help each time i tried to ask a question.

so i was supposed to arrive at my destination at 3:45 pm, and i ended up getting there at 11 pm instead.

ok, fine, shit happens....

then fucking monday, northwest delays then cancells my flight, i jump over to united, i get to my 1st stop, and i'm ok.........the weather then starts acting up and almost every flight out gets cancelled. i get thrown onto standby, to fly to another airport near me and i barely make that flight, but my baggage has to go to my original airport.

ok, so i make it home at 3 am.

i wake up at 6 am because of shit i had scheduled today, i run through my entire day like a zombie, and my baggage finally gets delivered to my home. and guess what..........my fucking bag was torn in half and half of my clothes were torn apart!!!!!

anything more than 4 sentences on gfy is a long story, so i figured i'd just give out a fair warning for the ADD crowd:1orglaugh

i was on a flight from BKK to london two years ago that had to head north unexpectedly, we ended up landing in *Moscow* low on fuel because we had to skirt the middle east due to "growing hostilities" in the middle eastern locale... 14 hours in the Moscow airport before getting on a connector back to London, fun stuff... thx continental..!

thats pretty bad, the most i've ever been delayed was 10 hours.

i was expecting a longer story

last time i ever used continental in the states, they are so expensive for their slipshod service and total lack of courtesy... quantas, thai air, Nippon, anyone is better..

there was more to the story, like my bout with diarehha all day on the flight back monday, or my rant of how bad every single stewardess was, or how i had to drive home after i landed i pea-soup fog, or how i could barely sleep because of the snoring of the woman sitting next to me on fridays flight....ugh


lol.........so i had to leave a bunch of detail out to keep it from being too long

i was using united for all of my domestic flights last year, i flew on about 20 flights with them, and they were perfect each time for me. but this year i've had some issues with them, and then northwest was just horrible. i used to use american for some of my international flights, but they too are getting worse. i can't stand jetblue...

and i really miss swissair:( i used to love flying with them

Continental doesn't fly Bangkok to London unless you went around the long way and connected in Guam, Honolulu, LAX, and then either Houston or Newark, then on to London.

I could use some more explaining.

If you spend the day hurtling around 30,000 feet above the earth in an aluminum tube full of highly combustible aviation fuel and the worst thing that happens is you lose your luggage, I'd say you had a good day.

On another note, yall should try out SONG (operated by Delta) fucking nice ass shit there, tv screens in every seat, pretty spacious, some flights have open seating as well...

Pretty good, and not that full usually... all my flights so far from LAX to FTL, and to JFK, and vica versa have always had empty seats next to me where i could stretch out.


Its cheap shit though, and I'd rather just keep flying my usual Delta First Class.

At least you guys in the US have a choice for domestic flights. It's slim pickin's in Canada.

Have you ever seen that show Airline on A&E? I can't believe all the crap those poor airline employees have to put up with. I might be cranky sometimes too....

this was the long way, over the atlantic. flight started in houston, reaches london at heathrow, had to change fucking airports to gatwick, then get on flight to BKK... return was same route inverse, but w/ complications..

Nothing compared to what wild-cat has lived while going to vegas ...

She arrived a day late, with like 40 000 business cards to deliver that were all messed up cauz of fucking stupid duties . One of her bag got lost, she got stoped at the duties for hours, they called me and my parthner asking tons of questions .

3 of her flights were canceled, one of her bag were too heavy so she missed 4th (allthought I called them 3 times asking what was maximum weight and no1 could tell me at this stupid compagny) .

And she has to take 1 more flight cauz she was sent to toronto instead of pitsburg . lots of fucking bullshit .

oh no... i remember reading about your hell-trip to vegas... just in case you don't remember, i was the one who did get his cards right in the nick of time before flying out to Vegas, i will be hitting you up soon for some more of the black/gold variants! beware the skies..!

So it's really wasn't Continental's fault. You should have gone the other way around. The flight that had the problem was someone else running LGW-BKK.

I do understand the codeshare thing - but you would have been better off on Continental to AMS and then KLM - or Qantas or something like that. Or take Continental to TLV and El Al to BKK.

I eat this shit for breakfast.
