Lets hear the best arguement FOR the war

Don't copy someone elses writings. Don't go by what you hear on CNN.

If you are for the war, write up the best arguement for it and why we are they. I honestly haven't heard a good, honest reason yet....and wanting someone to convince me.

Show your intelligence...as I know there are some intelligent people who believe in this war and that we should be there.

My best argument for the war is thus:

It provides much needed content for the glut of TV channels and personalities to talk about.

Do not really think we should of started it though.

We went to a school function today, and one of the kids wrote a speech about terrorism, and how he's mad that Iraq has attacked us. It seems that the kids are even thinking that Iraq had something to with 9/11. I read somewhere that 50% of the country actually believes that Iraq had a hand in 9/11.

War helps the economy. Someone's got to make the weapons.

When Bush confronted Saddam about weapons of mass destruction, Saddam didn't give any real evidence that they had gotten rid of all of the weapons of mass destruction. Remember: The weapons inspectors weren't given full access to look where they wanted.

Hans Blix isn't trusted for his word anymore, because he as it turns out has an agenda to push as well -- that the UN has power, which the US directly contradicted... But that's another story.

Saddam wouldn't prove he did not have weapons of mass destruction; which would raise the question of why? To use when least expected. We were in a terrorist panic, remember? (I believe we still have 2 gas masks per household today as well.)

Finally, the Iraqi government really did promote terrorists. This has been proven. There is a 747 just outside of Baghdad that is used to teach terrorists how to take over airplanes. But I guess it's just another High School course by their standards, afterall we're being told Iraq has nothing to do with AL Qiaeada (or however they're spelling it this week), but don't believe for a moment that means nothing to do with terrorism. We associate the two too closely.

Plus we giveth, we taketh....

Sorry, no reason to go to war and have people die.

Conspiracy theorists are constantly called paranoid. So you saying he would use WMD when least expected is paranoia, just like people who say Bush and the government had a hand in 9/11.

I don't see why any government should have to give other countries access to there weapons to inspect. We have WMD and so do many other countries. Now Saddam was an ass, but I see where he was coming from. He didn't get to inspect us, why should he let us inspect him?

Was Iraq just as involved as the US government? Who is too say until proof is shown either way.

I see just speculation in your posts. It is speculated that Iraq was with Al Quada, but not speculated they were terrorists. Speculation that they had WMD. Etc...speculation is no call for war and the potential of harming civilians.

I can't understand this and most Americans can't. People say that civilian casualities are part of war (you didn't, I know). But Americans have never had to go through this. If war hit American soil, the hyprocrital American society would completely change there views. Because now, people they know are being killed and they would be upset...but never say it is just part of war.

Until a war breaks out on American soil, American societies outlook on war in general will remain fucked up. I hope it never comes to it, though.
