Buying A Booth For Internext Versus Renting One?
Just putting the final touches on our booth for Miami Internext. We have kind of decided to go the rented route as the cost is much more reasonable.
The booth we were looking at getting was over $15k and that was not a very complex booth (nowhere near as nice as the Silvercash/Topbucks booths). But then I took a step back and looked at how often we will be using this booth.... 2 times a year... Once for Miami and once for Vegas.... Then we would have to pay for storage in the states throughout the year as it would cost a fortune to ship the booth across the border to Canada. Then the rental route started looking much more appealing. It's just over 2k for a booth that is designed to our specs and they also do all our advertising designs. Plus they come set it up and take it down. Anyways this being my first show having a booth I am open to all kinds of advice/suggestions from veteran show people. What do you think our best bet is to do. Rent or Buy? Thanks, DH |
I would say rent, a booth at internext is a booth at internext and the cheaper you can get it, the more $ you can put into other things

ebay

DH,
In the old days it might have been more cost effective to buy one. But with you only looking at 2 shows a yrs in the states, just go ahead and rent. |
renting sounds the better option
|
Anyone want to split a booth with me?

eBay !

I'd rent in that situation as well. :thumbsup

why do you even need a booth, aren't you sold out on most of your ads. Just asking not trying to be a prick
|
Just get your booth space and do this...
Get two leather couches and a Honey Bucket portable Potty.. Industrial size.. Maybe get two Honey Buckets.. Call it good.. It would be a unique style in itself.. The first booth featuring Honey Buckets.. I always hated walking all the way to the back of the Westin to take a shit or leak.. And in Vegas walking downstairs just to go to the bathroom sucked.. It would be nice just to be able to go at a booth... Convience... No one ever thought of this, but I think its a great idea.. Besides, how much can a Honey Bucket cost for a weekend? |
When people Like AaronM go in the Honey Bucket, as a joke you can lock em in and Spin the thing upside down..
People will be talking about you and your booth for years.. And at a very cost effictive cost. |
JFK could also put a webmaster shit cam in the bottom of the thing as well. SO far he's been everywhere at these shows but the bathrooms and up people's asses...
This could be a great time to start. |
check with the local union before you do anything!
your crew to setup may not be allowed to..haha |
hey DH ,
do u need models standing around looking pretty at your booth ?? :Graucho |
15k for a booth huh.. damn I should start building them.
and boneprone..lol I don't think a honey bucket would smell to good to sit next too..just my opinion :) |
