According to agonist, sarin has an exceedingly short shelf life. To extend it, Iraq made binary bombs that contained only one component. The secondary component needed to be added at the last minute - by hand! In other words, the "botched" sarin shell likely contained only isopropynol - which we use in a mildly diluted form as rubbing alcohol

Nice try. In the yahoo article you linked it says two soldiers suffered symptoms consistent with low level exposure to sarin. It also says because of how the shell was rigged the two components in the shell did not mix properly upon detonation. Nowhere in anything you posted did it say only one of the chemicals was present.

You are also incorrect about how binary shells work. In binary shells there are two chambers each holding one of the two necessary ingredients for sarin. The two chemicals are mixed together either right before firing or while in flight.
