image compression questions
 

whats a good size to compress full size images AND thumbnails for use on free sites etc

also do you know a good program that is easy to use that can batch compress image files please

oh i should say i currently have full sized images @ 90-100k and thumbnails @ 4-5k each so i know i need to reduce that size on the full sized pic a fair amount

you need programm for your pc or server based script?

i am personaly use script at server - it download freecontent from sponsors in zips, unzip, make thumbs and big images and upload via ftp to freehosts.

when i try to get in tgp posting some time ago - average speed (without html generation) - something arround 2.5k gallerys per half of day.

desktop application for windows would be best right now i think that way all i have to do is resize / rename the content when i download it and upload it to the server and never have to physically 'touch' it again
