what infomericals have ever convinced you to buy?

i think in all these years i've bought from maybe 2 or 3 infomericals in my life.

i think i bought a mortgage thing when i was like 18 and didn't know anything. i think i bought some soft of cooking pan or some shit once i can't even remember it now but it sucked.

what have you bought and what informerical made you buy?

ArikaAmes 05-18-2004 01:20 AM

I've been paying close attention the the Focus Factore commercials lately... I need a way to make up for my ephedera losses...lol

Digipimp 05-18-2004 01:21 AM

Been thinking about this product that I saw the other day, you put garlic or onions or whatever you want chopped up. You push it like 3-4 times and it chops it up pretty nice on TV. Said you can even make salsa with it.

thatjen 05-18-2004 03:21 AM

I was swindled into buy that Proactiv stuff cause I want beauuutiful skin. Oh well. My favorite infomericals are the Bosley and Hair Club for Men. Everytime I catch one I watch the whole thing. Ohhhh and Huggable Hangers! haha I actually bought those as well. I want my own infomercial.

I've never bought anything from infomercials, although some of the kitchen things are tempting. Bought a couple of tapes years ago from regular 60 second commercials but usually things that are on infomercials that really interest me I can find similar (if not exact) at local stores. About the only thing I buy from other than local stores are DVDs that I can't find locally, those I order from Amazon.com and satellite equipment, which I order from an online source.

candyflip 05-18-2004 08:02 AM

Before Christmas they were selling the Mr. Clean Car Wash kits through infomercials and regular TV commercials only. They hadn't made them available in the stores yet. I got them for my entire family. Kickass product!

Now you can get them just about anywhere. I saw them in the grocery store last night.

EviLGuY 05-18-2004 08:02 AM

I bought some knives once.. basically a ripoff. Very flimsy. i gave em away. :)

NikkiNevada 05-18-2004 08:03 AM

I bought some knives and Windsor Pilates, but they were both worth it! :)

samuel 05-18-2004 08:04 AM

That never happened to me...

I only watch infomercials when I'm fucking with my girl late at night.. if they start to sell adult toys... maybe..
