What is so far the best movie seen this year

Hi all,

Just wondering your thoughts on the latest movies out there. What in your opinion is the best. I am tired of paying $6 a movie only to find out its total crap.

I saw Miracle.. good movie if you're into hockey, and when the USA beat USSR after 20 years in the olympics.

I haven't seen that Samuri movie yet.. is it any good?

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
American Splendor
21 Grams

These are the best so far this year that I've seen.

For now, I think HellBoy and Van Helsing is the reat movie I've seen this year. But it's still early to tell, there maybe lots of movies coming.

SykkBoy 05-17-2004 09:53 PM

It was made last year, but I saw it this year: "In America"

Starsky and Hutch was suprisingly good.. but it may have been the people I was with. We all had a blast.

Its been a slow year so far for good movies really.

I wouldn't say it was as good as Braveheart. But Last Samurai was good in its own way. It was a great story, with memorable characters :thumbsup

The Fight Scenes were extremly well choreographed... best one was when Tom Cruise fought 6 guys at one time.

Butterfly Effect was pretty fucked up! Kill Bill 2 was nice, but the ending was a disappointment.

I didnt like Van Helsing, i thought the special effects were great but the story didn't really lead to anything.
