Fuck The Twits

Anyone else getting tired of newbs who pop on this board and start making posts like they've been here forever and are experts in this business.

I'm sure half of them are just alter nicks of established GFY'ers fucking around and that's even sadder.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

count blingula 05-17-2004 08:12 PM

i agree

WiredGuy 05-17-2004 08:12 PM

You're not the only one who's getting tired of these people :)
WG

LadyMischief 05-17-2004 08:13 PM

Yep.. It's a shame too. Every now and then you'll find one that's half assed articulate though, and they can be amusing.

Digipimp 05-17-2004 08:13 PM

hey i told you not to buy that men.com shit. you're an idiot.

:1orglaugh

dropped9 05-17-2004 08:14 PM

Amen. They are picking fights with the ppl who have higher posts counts trying to become the big dog that they are not.

Its a shame. Most of us regulars can chew em up and spit em out in no time...

NickPapageorgio 05-17-2004 08:14 PM

I am half assed articulate...

...love me or hate me. I am sure this was probably meant for me. I enjoy it here and don't mean to step on anyone's toes. Especially not the vet's. Thanks for putting up with me so far.

No, just kidding. A little bit of everything. Been in adult for 20 years and have mainstream non-internet and internet businesses also. But the adult has always been the most fun. Did a lot of pioneering things in 900/800/011/etc. pay-per-call also mainstream and phone sex.

You just need to do a Poker Sig Day.

Not like it was for the marketing entrepreneurs who had the early first allotment of 900 numbers. We're actually the ones who convinced AT&T to go into 900 when we were in the 976 biz and thought why not do this on a national scale instead of having to deal individually with every Bell regionally.

We had the first full page ad in Hustler for example and there weren't many others. Within a few years Hustler turned into the yellow pages for phone sex ads. So we started putting ads on literally every page to stay competitive. And then opened our own photo studio because we needed so many ads for all the magazines we were in.

When the Net came online the magazine's circulations all went downhill, the ad rates didn't, so the profit margins weren't as amazing as the first 7 years.

You can still make big money in 900 but mostly if you have your own major media distribution channel. Like if you own American Idol for example. Or like Jim Fiest who makes a killing because his betting numbers get on his TV show on the weekend and in his betting news magazine that he publishes.

Despite what most people think there was actually more money to be made in mainstream 900 because you could get on TV and in mainstream media with non-adult ads which we did.

So you can still make money but not like the goldrush days.

I still make money from phone sex. We also license out our audio content in digital MP3 format now.

SS396chevelleSS 05-17-2004 10:08 PM

Everyday would be sig day at pokersig.com plus we would let poker companies and services buy in blocks of posts so they know what they are getting with their money.

wouldn't be hard to set up at all KRL. you can own the domain, idea, company and have a nice little money maker for you. IAll I want is a little % of the earnings and a little pocket change in the time being. In return I will consult for pokersig.com and give you the info needed to make this a success

Can you shoot me an e-mail of what would need to be done to make it happen. It doesn't sound complex, but maybe I'm missing something on how you want to do it.

I'm swamped so be sure to mark GFY on the subject line so I don't miss the e-mail.

Thanks

I save everything. But I'd have to go to my storage facility to pull out the box with the original mags. That's going back 20 years ago to 976 days and the first full page ad for 976-TITS was in Hollywood Press.
