Countries with low or no income tax?

I need to move, the taxes here are just to high.
Any suggestions? Needs to be warm climate and I should be able to get by good with english.

benc 05-17-2004 12:15 PM

I wouldnt be surprised if a usa state with no state income taxes is one of the better deals in the world.

Probably would be..

You see if you move to some no-income tax having country.. you DO pay in different ways. Shitty water.. need water purification, etc..

I've looked into this myself..

XxXotic 05-17-2004 12:19 PM

bahamas is tax free far as I can remember

VideoJ 05-17-2004 12:25 PM

Denmark seems to be the cheapest at 15% for the top bracket. Is that a misprint? Table is several years old, btw

Some countries will not tax a corporation as long as you're not doing business in that country.

Reak 05-17-2004 12:27 PM

Thailand.

Don't think that one is correct, probably dosen't include local taxes.

VideoJ 05-17-2004 12:32 PM

You're right it's not. here's another resource that has it at 50%, which is more believable.

Seven states have no state income tax: Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. Two others, New Hampshire and Tennessee, tax only dividend and interest income. To see how other states compare, check out the Federation of Tax Administrators' listing of individual income tax rates for 2001.

Sosa 05-17-2004 12:45 PM

just move to a state with no state tax. Saves you a lot of money.

mind 05-17-2004 12:46 PM

ROFL Denmark, talk about going the wrong way - we have amongst the highest taxes in the world - and our climate is sure as hell not warm lol...

If you got enough money... Monaco is the place to be :D

TommyM 05-17-2004 12:52 PM

Romanian companies pays 1.5 % of the cash-flow. But only if they do less than 100.000 euro / year .. or something like that.
You could open 10-20 companies here and pay 1.5 % :)

Thailand is no good country to do business in as a foreigner, everybody tries to fuck with you so hard, you never know who stabbed you in the back when you've lost all your money :2 cents:

No income tax isn't really possible,I don't mind to give a few percent to a country if they don't try to fuck with me and give me much freedom regarding to the laws like the netherlands or denmark in europe. :2 cents:

I don't mind paying a few percent, but 32% social fees + 32% to 55% income tax + 25% VAT is a little bit too much for me

They are pretty high too.

At the moment Malta looks pretty good, 15% tax on all income you bring into the country, 0% on everything else. You need to bring in at least $15000 a year.

TexasGuy 05-17-2004 01:53 PM

Dont choose Sweden. 53 % taxes and cold as hell.

I would recommend some nice warm oil-country ...

Malta is a nice place to life, been there 5 or 6 times already, definatly a good choice.

I read an interview with a german guy who moved there and runs an mp3 affiliate program now (it's legal, and yes he pays fees for the songs). He said with the help of his tax advisor his taxes are almost at 0% now.

johndoebob 05-17-2004 03:05 PM

To life in switzerland you need a serious amount of cash too, otherwise they won't let you into the country.
