So i bought a servermatrix server
 

For some tgping, i have it 2 days and today its been down for 15 hours already and no response from them.

Discuss.

When I first got mine it was down for a day as well... I called them, turns out it was switched off (wtf?) They switched it on, and it's been fine for the last 3 months.

...Of course I'm not even using it right now, who needs hosting :)

Their servers are unmanaged.. if their network is up, and your server is down it's probably your fault. :)

I have a server with them as well... well with their bigbrother The Planet, but same datacenter and its up.

If you need some help with the initial setup, let me know.. I can install some service monitoring, firewall, etc for you, free of charge. :)

Earlier on they mailed me saying something about a switch and that is was fixed. (which it was not)

What is there to discuss ? You decided to go cheap and that is the outcome, fact is that most of these so called hosts are just 15 year old kids colocating 5 servers somewhere and people like you trust them with your business. :( I've been in your shoes many times trying to save a dollar or two at the end it always ends up costing you more when your sites go down and you loose your listings, traffic and money!

I have another server at a good hosting company where i pay more for my bw. I use them for all my other sites, paysites, sites with scripts etc.

This is bw only for galleries and i only bought one after i read a lot of positive reactions from people. I seem to have bad luck and im pretty sure this is a professional company who know what they are doing.

Either you suck at managing the server, or they made a mistake.

If it's their fault it will be solved within a day or so, and you'll be up and running for the next year(s) without any problems.
