Paypal just called me
 

How weird is that? they wanted to confirm the amounts I was sending out.. Sorta odd for a company that has no support.

they just recently started posting phone numbers in their support area to call them on.. :2 cents:

they heard so much about you, they just had to speak with you.

Paypal sucks big time. Didn't the close Drinking Hards account with around 8K in there?

they call alot, ever 2-3 weeks they have a conversation with me and if you dont pickup when they call, they freeze your account.

they called me last week too... to tell me about a new feature. I love it.

I once sent $40,000 via paypal. I got a call the next day and they were asking me if I got the service I asked for? :1orglaugh

Paypal doesnt allow adult.

Having 8k worth of transactions will easily bring attention to your account.

if an adult email url is used it can flag the account, and if there are large amounts of funds transferred they will notice and close it.

dont blame paypal because they dont allow adult, its not their fault that closed it.

i just lost by account with them after using them for almost a year. Damn, it sucks.

i got a few calls from them inquiring same questions they did to you and after that, i was informed that they will be cancelling my account and I need to pack my money and go.

well, life is like that, you move on and good thing, epassport has my back covered (soon)!

I have had my account frozen twice. Once because I logged into my account in the states when I am usually logging in within Canada. I was using a proxy. Second time was when I was hammered and tried to take out more than my limit. Took a couple phone calls and some faxes to get it back. Pain in the ass, but at least you know they take their shit seriosly. I am suprised I have had my account for so long without it being cut off.

I don't understand why adult business is such a big deal for paypal

Adult activity was only recently made unacceptable. So they got alot of money from alot of ADULT WEBMASTERS to start paypal ( because we all know if they hadnt used adult to start with they never would have made it anywhere )

It should be under paypal's onus to notify you and refund your money promptly * WITH AN APOLOGY * not an accusatory email as if the user has done anything wrong..

Heres paypal biggest scam method broken down to plain english

Ask for 1 piece of ID to DEPOSIT CASH

Ask for 2 pieces of ID to WITHDRAW CASH

This way people with only 1 piece of id will not realise they cant get their money back until its already deposited..

Step # 2 allow adult content take money

Step # 3 Disallow adult content and steal/seize money for paypal use.

I find their support quite good, whenever I have a problem/question I call and they take care of it as good as any support team.

I know they used to call me every 2 or 3 weeks to confirm transactions (mostly when I use my paypal card)... If you don't pick up the phone, they'll freeze your account and you'll have to call them to verify the transactions so they can unfreeze it...they stopped doing that a while ago tough....Seem that the only did it when I received my paypal card....

must have been some large transfers if they called you to confirm the amounts!! If you don't want any future hastles/phonecalls you can have half the amount sent to me LOL

they once called me to verify 2 widthdrawls of 20$ at an ATM if that can say anything!

yeah, and he didnt even have a chance to get it out - they closed it in the middle of the night
