Star Trek Enterprise Cancelled??
I was impressed as to the quality of shows this season of StarTrek Enterprise was producing, and when I checked out this wednesdays lineup online I found this announcement::
On May 20 ? UPN will announce its Fall lineup and thus confirm whether or not Star Trek: Enterprise will be renewed for a fourth season on the network. Taking their cue from the successful letter-writing campaign by fans in the 1960s to save the Original Series from cancellation after its second year, a number of grass-roots efforts have formed to make sure the network know that support for the show is strong and the audience is loyal. Recently USA Today ran a poll regarding several TV shows "on the bubble" of cancellation, asking respondents whether those shows should or should not be renewed. Enterprise won "enormous" support, far more than any other show in the poll. The announcement regarding renewal of Enterprise is expected to come Thursday, May 20, at UPN's "upfront sales presentation" in New York. It is that week, beginning on May 17, that all the broadcast networks will reveal their Fall schedules to the advertising community, and thus seal the fates of all their shows. http://www.startrek.com/startrek/vie...icle/5500.html http://www.saveenterprise.com/ |

After the first season the show kinda lost its coolness.

I didn't even know it was still on past the first year. I missed it all the time because of work. I liked voyager when it was on.

vulcan women are so hot!!! i wonder if they have the word "orgasm" on their vocabulary...lol |
The show needs to be saved..
I don't want to have to wait another 30 years for the DS9 movies to come out and the another round of shows like with the original series |
I like it.. it's not my favorite show on tv, but it's up there. :)

This past season has been really good, just a few shows not worth while.
I read last week that they want another 24 episodes to give them an even 100 so syndication will be assured, and that will profit $200 million. So I think it will be renewed, not like UPN has anything else remotely interesting to put in its place. |
I really enjoyed Enterprise (I've loved all of the Trek series, except I had a hard time getting into DS9 when it got all religious with the ongoing story line). It's really difficult for me, though, to remember to watch a television show on a regular schedule, so I figured that I would wait until they had been done with it for a while and then buy the entire series at some point on DVD (or more likely borrow it from a friend who bought it, since I probably won't watch it all of the time).
The only thing that I didn't really like about it was that Scott Bakula's presence was a constant reminder that Quantum Leap ended before it was due and thus never had a satisfactory wrap-up. =P |
Agreed -that the first season sucked.. but the second has made up for it in true startrek fashion.
