Do your teeth feel "weird" after Crest WhiteStrips?

Starting using them bout 3 days ago. My teeth dont hurt, they just feel different the next day.

Is this normal at the beginning

if they feel more sensitive, thats normal. my friend described it as her teeth feeling "thinner".

mine were just a little senesitive the next day, but i only did them like 3 times a week, not everyday. :)

so does it work? :glugglug

Vitasoy 05-16-2004 10:19 PM

The first time I try-ed them they only hurt when I drank cold water. After a week or so the pain disappeared.

I heard laser whitening is the way to go. I think bleach makes your teeth pretty sensitive from what I hear.

pantyhoselolita 05-16-2004 10:28 PM

Having a ste of perfect white teeth is a treasure.

I think I'd give this a try. :)

I used em and thought they worked well. They did make my teeth a little sensitive, so I did it half as much. Takes a little longer to get the result you want, but your teeth won't feel so weird.

Yeah, same here. I have somewhat sensitive teeth to start with so I gave up on them after a few days.

I did the Zoom treatment http://www.zoomnow.com/
(I hour in the dentist office)

I have never felt such excruciating pain in my life- later that night, it was like the nerves in my teeth were being zapped.

My teeth feel weird (sensitive) after using some of the stronger whitening tooth pastes (like that Aqua Fresh foamy shit) let alone those strips. I decided to pass on the strips. They would probably make my teeth ultra sensitive.

sexyclicks 05-17-2004 08:44 AM

I stopped doing it because my teeth were too sensitive

bad_girl 05-17-2004 01:11 PM

The bleaching agent enters your teeth through the tiny holes, which eventually reaches the "nerves" of your teeth. Best thing to do after you bleach your teeth is to directly apply sensodyne on your teeth and rub - rinse in a few minutes. Sensodyle blocks these tubes from absorbing air or liquid.

By the way - I would be careful with the white strips - they can actually blanche your gums :thumbsup

Bleaching your teeth hurts like a bitch (at least for me because i have a low pain threshold)

Use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth like Sensodyne and don't drink anything too hot or cold. After using those strips I can even feel my nerves after I just inhale or breathe on my teeth. Hurts like hell, but that's the high price of beauty; no pain no gain.
