Helter Skelter.

Not bad for a t.v. movie of the week...but forever etched in our memories will be Steve Railsback as Charlie in the original.
:thumbsup

Who played Charlie? I just caught about 45 mins of the end.. seemed to have caught his essence pretty well. :)

Good movie? I read the book years ago..

jasonir 05-16-2004 10:08 PM

TAMPA_TOKER 05-16-2004 10:10 PM

I think it's Henry Thomas from E.T.

eroswebmaster 05-16-2004 10:11 PM

Henry Thomas turned out to be a decent actor.

SYNIKAL 05-16-2004 10:11 PM

Seemed long... But pretty good for a tv movie.

kenny 05-16-2004 10:12 PM

That movie they made in the 70's was much better

SoundMan 05-16-2004 10:13 PM

Yeah..but this is pretty good for a t.v. movie.
Steve Railsback from the 70's version is who we'll all remember as Charlie.

He did such a good job I think that role ruined his career.

EnigmaTek 05-16-2004 10:18 PM

Yeah he had that look in his eyes down pat. Even Manson today still looks like that.

The guy is up for parole every few years but I don't think he wants to get out.

The TV series didnt do as good of a job capturing it at all.

The actors should of watched the orginal movie a dozen times before..

Esp. the girls they lacked the whole air head acid burn out mentality which is a very important aspect

It's a nice feel good-movie.

Shagpipe 05-17-2004 08:26 AM

Wasn't bad at all. Although Manson looked a lot like Johnny damon. It was kind of throwing me off. I really liked the scene where Manson sneaks into Dennis' house & hands him the bullet.

EnigmaTek 05-17-2004 05:07 PM

I think Manson looked pretty good when he did the guest spot on A Manson Family Christman in South Park
