were you in new orleans from out of state or country? if so, hopefully you tried all the cajun stuff.. jambalaya, gumbo, crawfish..etc.. im never moving out of louisiana, id miss the food too much

Out of country - we're in Canada. Hell yeah, spent the first day eating at "Mothers" which came heavily recommended, then we went to Brussards (?Spelling?) and a bunch of different places...wicked grub, cheap booze, Hurricans, Hand Grenades, Bourbon Street ...all that on top of a tradeshow & Jazzfest...fuck man, I wanna move there

yeah, a lot of baton rouge is the ghetto, they're everywhere, its impossible to drive through baton rouge and not see a churchs, KFC, or popeyes every 3 minutes

Popeyes even had some damn good Gumbo for a while.

Sometimes I buy a six pack of those biscuts and get some honey or jam! They are incredible.

Aye, got one in town here, its alright. I've been to one down in New Orleans myself a few years back for mardi gras, great times, ok food.

Yup, there is one nearby, but oddly enough, I've never been to it.
