Would you bring your girlfriend/signifigant other to an industry convention?
 

I'm planning on going to Webmaster Access in July. I was originally gonna bring a mainstream webmaster buddy with me, but my girlfriend wants to come, so I'll probably end up bringing her instead. Is this recommended?

P.S. I've never been to a convention before.

if she's even remotely close to being attractive, then you'd better be prepared to have drunks trying to hit on her, or wanting to see her tits...

although, if it's drunk women that are trying, you might not mind so much.

of course,. why wouldnt you. Most adult webmasters I've met are gentleman towards ladies. not a bunch of drooling rapist humping your leg (except a certain few).

Most are mature enough to seperate business from pleasure, even if there business is pleasure. Know what I mean?

I remember reading threads a looong time ago that it was a bad idea to bring your girlfriend or wife along.

i personally wouldnt do it, but if shes the one mentioning wanting to go, sure bring her along.

I'd bring mine but she never wants to after she went to the first couple. She's in the biz too and knows some of the peeps but I guess she prefers to get drunk with her old timer friends. =]

but really, if you're trying to get some business done and your girl knows the industry she can really help you.

Yes Eva has been to a few and some she liked and some she did not. For her it's work.

I think it depends on the show, Vegas can be good because you can ge lost in the crowds. Miami is not so good becasue it's nearly all industry in the same hotel.

Don't be so worried about people hitting on yoyr GF, she loves you it will mean nothing to her but some playful and complimentry flirting.

Lot's of guys flirt with Eva at shows and she loves it. I think it's a compliment because I know she loves me.

My wife comes with me to every convention I attend.

I wouldnt, what they dont know wont hurt them....

Be aware that if your wife has any sort of doubts about her own attractiveness, that a show will probably fuck with her head a while... you may think she's irresistable, but women can get kind of a fucked up perspective about themselves and seeing all the 'perfect people' walking around can result in a hotel room meltdown. :2 cents:

hehe nice question. Depends what YOU are expecting from this convent. Are you expecting to do some bizz and have a good time with the other fellows, or you are just going there to get drunken like hell and to fuck around with other girls (or guys) - so it's up to you

I say you bring her, i wanted to take my girlfriend to Miami this summer, but she prefers to go to Jaimica to see her grand mother. I think you should definitely bring her.:thumbsup

Although she may get mutiple modeling offers (it happens), you'll find out for sure whether she can handle your line of work. She needs to for your relationship to last long term. I'd recommend bringing her. :2 cents:

I would. Whether or not she'd come would be another story. She doesn't like large crowds, and large rowdy crowds would be even worse. Maybe to the smaller quieter functions. I can seriously see myself knocking some fucker out for trying to treat her like content.
