Bush has shown the world that America is tough and is not afraid of Arabs

We kill and torture Arabs.

Bush has dispelled the 'Black Hawk Down' perception that we run away from a fight.

Leaving Somalia under those circumstances was a huge mistake for Clinton. That's what happens though when you have a president who governs by polls because his main concern is what people think of him.

Excuse me!

When Blackhawk down happened Bush the First I was busy making his oil buddies rich and if Bush the First had given the military the equipment they requested Mogadishu would have never happened.

Bush has made America look strong, just like the Vietnam war made America look strong. :1orglaugh

Stop listening to Rush Limbaugh and take a look at the real world.

Clinton took office in January '93. Black hawk down happened in October '93.

edit: Also soldiers involved in the incident reported that the Clinton administration turned down requests for equipment. Which then led to the forced resignation of Clintons then secretary of defense Les Aspin.

I used to try to see things with the larger picture in mind, like the US had to go after Iraq to show the world and crazy leaders two hundred years out from now that the US won't take terror on their doorstep and will topple any gov't and country that may have been involved, but I have lost my resolve for such "realpolitik" reasoning. You can't go in and kill people with some longer term fuzzy reasoning behind it. It just breeds more hatred back at you in spades, especially when you try to sugarcoat it as bringing them your version of democracy.

The Bush admin has not properly armed, supplied, or funded the troops in Iraq. Luckily, he will be gone in November!

what do you think is going to happen if he loses the election ? I doubt there will be much of a difference. We will still need to maintain a presence over there.
