represents about 30% of all search traffic, compared to Google's 35%. So I think Yahoo is worth optimising for :2 cents: I'd therefore like to know about any useful articles or tutorials re optimising for Yahoo? Can anyone help me? |
I saw a BIG drop in traffic from yahoo when it went to inktomi. It was less than google but it was still a good chunk. I'm thinking I might have to set up some totally different sites just for yahoo.

Here is my tip for Yahoo.
Use your meta tags but don't spam them.Have your main keyword in your domain.keep your main keywords on on your home page as at the moment they don't crawl too deep into a site so unlike google its better to have many smaller sites than 1 big one. Get links from sites that are already scoring in yahoo serps. If you have a quaity site I can help you with that as I have sites doing well. There is one more very important tip if you are chasing premium keywords but I will keep that for myself at the moment.:winkwink: |
Very soon after I started getting hits from google, yahoo spidered me and I am still getting a few good hits from them.
Nothing like what google sends, but still a lot. Definately worth optimising for. I do believe though, that general optimisation and common sense works best. |
