do you believe in fate?

I think that it is very illogical not to believe in fate.

This is so for a simple reason:

The conventional meaning of Believing in fate is that you believe everything that happens is already predetermined.

If you believe in fate, you assume that everything is predetermined.

Can a person really not believe in fate? I think not.

Let's say that you question the existense of fate. That act in itself is predetermined by fate. The very act of questioning the existense of fate is a part of fate.

The act of you questioning the above statement is also predetermined by fate.

So clearly, there is no way that there is no fate, because any future outcome, no matter what choice we make, is already set and the out act of making any choice whatsoever, whether it is to believe in fate, not believe in fate, accept fate, or no even care about fate, is predetermined by fate.

I was having a simular conversation in regards to the universe... no matter what theory of creation you believe in big bang for example, or dust ball .. it had to come from something,

which came from something which started as nothing and how can the universe be created from nothing and yet this is possible which means that as miraculas as that is thier is a high probability that God exists (God is the most powerful energy force) I believe in a scientific explanation for God..

so if there is a God then its possible that the revelations in the bible will come to pass and we are about to enter the 7 years of trials and tribulations..and were all gonna die so live it up

how wouldn't you let it ? the fact that you're 'not letting it' is in itself fate.

I think this is too complicated for some of you..

every act or action that you have taken a part in to get to where you are is FATE.

there is nothing bad about fate.. the choices you make whether you think they are fate controled or you're in control are in fact fate themselves.

this is too hard for you too understand ?

bllott 05-14-2004 10:36 PM

it's actually mind boggling how this can be soo hard to understand

everything thats happening to us has a meaning and everything you think that's a failure will have a good luck.........

pure energy 05-15-2004 01:35 AM

whatever I type in here, you'll say its fate. how can we win with that?

Firehorse 05-15-2004 03:59 AM

I believe in cause and effect and Karma. We make our own fate every moment! :thumbsup

Creative 05-15-2004 04:08 AM

OK I'm Hammered right now, but try to keep up with my twisted thoughts;

Fate is definately real, If you haven't noticed yet open your eyes. Karma is legit shit, Everything comes back to you.

I'm sure everyone here has had random undeniable strokes of bad luck for no apparant reason if they habiutally "sin", I know I sure have.

I quoted sin for the non religious people who feel they are thinking logically, But religious or not... You know fate is real, There is so much we don't understand

Belive me or not, tonight at the keg party we were at we were playing 3 man which is a dice game, I closed my eyes and concentrated on a number.. Just like flicking a switch, I concentrated on a digit with my eyes closed and at least 80% of the time I predicted what number was going to be rolled and 100% of the time I was 1 or 2 off

Don't belive me? Whatever, I wouldn't lie about this shit

I'm just here to encourage people to read between the lines & see what isn't visible, some people honestly have this gift

If you think I'm crazy, that's fine with me because I am

But it's only because I have opened my mind to untaught possibilities

I am telepathic, psychic, whatever... It's all mind over matter, It's mind over apparant reality:2 cents:

Holly 05-15-2004 04:16 AM

Intellect annuls fate. So far as a man thinks, he is free.

If the story describing your 'psychic gift' begins with, "Tonight at the keg party...", something tells me it may not be telepathy responsible for your magical powers. :winkwink:

KRL 05-15-2004 04:29 AM

Every major connection in my life seems like it came about under circumstances that were fated.

:thumbsup :thumbsup That is so true.

The problem with believing in fate is that some people take it to serious and stop working on things because what ever happends is fate.

That is not fate, but it is funny as hell.

My view of "fate" is different.

Most people think of fate as a single predetermined future that is set in stone and no able to be changed by us.

I think of the future (and the past) as an infinite set of possibilities, all set in stone and each equally "real".

Whichever one actually comes to pass depends on our thoughts and actions. In essence we are quite capable of creating our own future and in fact do it in blissfull ignorance every day usually in a negative manner by regretting events in our past or worrying about what might happen tomorrow.

"What you fear, you create"

"Think positive" is one of the most powerful rules of life to follow.

Fuck I am starting to sound like Tony Robbins but anyway.. :)

Goose 05-15-2004 02:22 PM
