Royalty Is Bizarre

Watching CNN showing all these thousands of goofy sheep people waving at the Prince of Denmark and his new bride.

Don't you think its comical the way people idolize royalty.

What have they done besides being born into a prominent wealthy family??? At least our celebs in America and other countries provide entertainment and comedy for us in movies, television and other things.

You might think the guy was the first man on the moon or something really significant the way these people were cheering and joyous.

Royalty has no place in today's world which is based on one's own accomplishments and not just some kingly title handed down by nepotism from generation to generation.

angelsofporn 05-14-2004 03:03 PM

I wanna see one of those guys caught in a dirty Jimmy Swaggert syle hooker/bondage/spanking/hotel scene

polish_aristocrat 05-14-2004 03:05 PM

That is a way to identify with ones country.

In many countries there is a nostalgia towards past times.

Are you really a blue blooded aristocrat Polish?

Just curious.

Sorry if you are and I insulted you with this post. I just believe people shouldn't be idolized in modern times where work ethic is emphasized or one's titled heritage.

I found royalty back in my line in the 1,500's. He was a huge landholder. Big deal. That was 500 years ago and I don't even know the fellow. I do wonder who got all the land.

BRISK 05-14-2004 03:14 PM

Humans are hero worshippers. When we see successful people, we automatically assume they know everything, and they are the best people in the world. We worship celebrities, billionaires, politicians, and anyone else that has power. We think that being around these people makes us great too.

Humans are so flawed. :(

Misty Kristy 05-14-2004 03:17 PM

Royalties aren't just for show...They have important jobs too. They represent their country and they oftentimes give awareness to important causes.

I forgot to add...

But the best thing today has actually been that the sad news has been at a minimum and the good news (which 2 people who love each other is) has been the king.

:)

Yes, I got some blue blood but no, you didn't insult me :)
I had chosen this nickname when i was new to this industry, somebody showed me this board and i noticed it is a little crazy and people don't have their names as nicknames, so i wanted to have a original one too.
But I don't give a fuck about that and it does not mean anything anymore anyway in Poland after the communist era. When i was a child i was sometimes angry since i have the surname from my father and only my mother is from an aristocratic family.
Now i really don't care about that and it is even better that i don't have that surname, since i sell porn on the internet :1orglaugh

The Crown Prince is also a Navy Seal and carries many other accomplishments which makes him very respectable and worth admiring.

Jeg er imponeret. Du er en heldig mand :)

You gotta admit that we're pretty laid back... but the viking temper is always boiling a bit underneath.

Pornwolf 05-14-2004 03:33 PM

I just made a post in the Danish Queen thread about this. Royalty is such a joke now a days. What's wrong with these countries? What makes them go so crazy over these people who do nothing at all?

The majority of people I know here in the UK regard the Royal Family as a very good way of importing tourism, we as a country set very little store with them other than that they generate a huge amount of income.

Do you mind if I ask what kind of title you would have had, count? Viscount? baron? I'm not sure what other titles there are out there? And did your mother's family used to live in a castle?
Sorry, but I'm fascinated with royalty :helpme

I can't believe gfy has a blue blooded member with blood somehow related to royalty, selling porn... :Graucho

Pornwolf, since you are already here, I have another q's for you regarding that old hooker thread we argued in. I thought of something new to ask you that I didn't think of till now...

So since men can have many partners like you claim, but women can't (because you claim it's against nature) WHO are these women that the men are having sex with? They must be doing it with SOMEONE right? So how can they do it with SOMEONE if all the women can't be naturally promiscuous like you claim? It takes two to tango, so with who are all these men tango'ing with if you claim women are meant to be naturally monogamous.

Yea, I know I'm weird, but I just thought of a new point I didn't think of earlier and I'm curious about what you have to say.

Sarah_Jayne 05-14-2004 04:03 PM

it bothered me a lot more before I lived in a country with a Royalty and saw how little they effect any normal person's life at all. I do wish they weren't in the media that much but then I wish that about Paris Hilton too.

Who are they? Women that are enjoying whoredom before they get all barefoot and preggo. ;)

Once they get pregnant they can't really 'tango' for a year or so. While the woman is pregnant men can and are intended to spread their seed in other places to continue production of our species. This is why we don't have a moritorium on sperm production while the woman is pregnant. American political correctness doesn't allow us to do that (except in Utah) though. If we didn't have the sexual drive and capacity that we do there would be no humans.

God made the rules Pho-Girl, don't get mad at me for repeating them.

jayeff 05-14-2004 04:14 PM

To state the obvious, but the attitude of Americans towards their presidents is the exact same phenomenon.

Before everyone jumps up and says, yes but we vote for them, the fact is that you only get the opportunity to vote for connected people who are practically as remote from the average American as European royalty are from their people.

He has a point. But the difference is presidents actually DO something.

Lane 05-14-2004 04:18 PM

you're right but there is not much respect in todays world either, even when you earn your way up.

Global Dialers 05-14-2004 04:18 PM

eddie izzard said it best on his tour a year or two ago

europe - where the history comes from

us americans will never get it we renovate building to how they looked 50-100 years ago

when europeans renovate buildings they look like they did hundreds and thousands of years ago lol

it is also true that every european has a castle in their yard unfortunately it took disney a couple of years to realize that an imported plastic castle wasnt going to cut it in the middle of paris lol

Interesting..I had sex almost nightly until 48 hours until I went into labor and then again almost nightly exactly 2 weeks after I gave birth. Methinks you have a lot to learn about hormonal pregnant women. :)

(sorry about the continued thread hijack :winkwink: )

I agree 100% but what can ya do when the Queen and co are still so damn popular here. She's not about to budge I'm sure.

I'd rather have a president. at least he has real power and works for his money.
