More ongoing nonsense, does it ever stop?
You would think we were selling drugs, beer or tobacco!
May 12, 2004 at 5:03PM MST Elizabeth Vall Reports Porn website operator is next door to charter school A viewer contacted Eyewitness News 4, concerned that a porn business is operating right next to a charter school downtown. Is this legal? Several porn web sites list the street address of a downtown office, right next to City High School. Eyewitness News 4 Reporter Elizabeth Vall checked it out. CDM networks says they build and maintain porn web sites, but, they say, they don't take any of the pictures or video. So, is this considered an adult establishment similar to a strip bar or adult book store? City code says such adult establishments must be 1000 feet away from any school. The concerned viewer that called in about the situation said, "If the zoning allows this, then our zoning law is completely wrong. This couldn't be a worse situation." Yet, CDM works with web sites, and not directly with porn stars. That's why Tucson's Zoning Administrator says it's not considered an adult establishment, therefore it's not a considered problem for nearby schools. However, the city is sending inspectors to check out the business just in case. http://www.kvoa.com/Global/story.asp...3&nav=HMO6N65k |

Yes, they are completely clueless. Poor downtown Tucson is trying to attract more business to its office space, not scare them away!
Like there's room for shooting in those tiny offices, anyway. Good lord, people! |
