They are the defending champs and they "had" home court.

Not a likely underdog :)

Lake Show in 6.

okny 05-14-2004 09:30 AM

Yeah I know. I think it's been a good series actually. I've had lackluster enthusiasm for the NBA the last few years, but this year they got me back. :)

Duncan made about 6 or 7 super ugly shots last night. I thought he was going to break the backboard for sure with some of those bricks he was gunning at the basket :1orglaugh

boardersweetie 05-14-2004 10:37 AM

Lakers in 6. Although I do really hate them, I want to see them get dominated by the Kings in Western finals!

Axeman 05-14-2004 10:38 AM

amazing what you can do in .4 seconds isnt it?

BeHeadR 05-14-2004 10:44 AM

Fuck Duncan made shots he didn't even mean to make. Remember that shot that almost got blocked and he double pumped and basically threw it against the backboard and it somehow went in?

Or what about the shot with .4 seconds left in which Duncan never even saw the basket nor saw the ball go in. He was even quoted as asking teamates "Did it go in".

As shaq said "One lucky shot deserives another"

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh Spurrs suck

even their coach complains too much...

"That's the cruelest loss I've ever been involved with," said Popovich, whose team is filing a protest about the starting of the clock.

a win is a win. too bad they weren't expecting it

King and Wolves series is a tough battle, both team and equally manned. this is the judgment day, who wins this gay has definitely a game ahead.

GO LAKERS!

Not true if it wasn't for their coach, they might not have made it to the second round, i mean i watch the lakers play all the time and sometimes with all the all stars on that team they can't do jack.

Exactly the way he's let them stop running the triangle in favor of allowing Gary Payton to get more ball handling. and Also alot more pick and rolls with Kobe and Karl!!!! It takes a really good coach to realize that sometimes you need to give the players some freedom. but the most genious part of Phil Jackson was the defensive adjustment he made converging on Parker when he drives and doubling Duncan away from the base line, and forcing thier role players to beat them. Hey by the way, way to show up Horry!!!!!

Lakers in 6 and on to the Confrence Finals against T-wolves. Another great series!!!

late breaking news:

Spurs? Protest Denied
NEW YORK, May 14 -- The National Basketball Association announced today that Commissioner David Stern has denied the San Antonio Spurs' protest of its 74-73 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on May 13.

The Spurs claimed that Lakers guard Derek Fisher?s game-winning shot was not taken within the 0.4 seconds that remained in the game when the ball was in-bounded. Video tape review revealed that the game clock was started appropriately and confirmed the finding of the referees using instant replay that the shot was released before time expired.

if he makes this one, im sure he won't be alone in such achievement. this proves very well that under his roof, likes of Malone and Payton can still dream on with that coveted Ring.

Dr. Phil doesn't have to prove anything if he wins the Championship. He already made the History records during his time with the Great Micheal Jordan, Pippen, Rodman who themselves are known as NBA legends.
