What's up with the size of these Tornado's

Anyone see the size of the ones that hit Kansas yesterday and Colorado also.

Monsters. And the hail generated was the size of golf balls and baseballs.

Looks like its going to be a nasty summer for storms.

wisconsin is having a shitty spring so far too. we've had 3 days of Wind Advisorys....gusts to over 45 mph (damn near blowing me off the road several times).

not to mention hot one day, cold the next (which are conditions for tornados.)

:(

That was awful!

Mr. Marks 05-14-2004 04:01 AM

Damn! I hate tornadoes. They destroy everything in their path.

EviLGuY 05-14-2004 04:56 AM

I hate tornados.. (we dont even get the big uns up here) I was in Saskatchewan visiting some relatives when I was a kid.. and during my stay there a tornado hit the area.

Its an unpleasant experience to say the least.

Wasn't it here (GFY) that I read that future terrorist attacks may involve messing with the elements??

I.E. the chaos theory and the butterfly effect?

I thought you were talking about tomatos:1orglaugh

Vitasoy 05-14-2004 06:15 AM

They are big destructive hazzards but I love watching them in action. :winkwink:

Babaganoosh 05-14-2004 06:51 AM

It happens every year. So far I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary. Last year by this time we had already had a tornado go through town. :(

Kansas sucks ass sometimes.

I was almost in one of those Kansas tornados on Wednesday night. There were three storms in my area and we were in the middle of two. Luckily, the twisters missed us. Attica got hit instead and that is fifty miles south-east of me.

I've seen a few tornados and epxerienced some really bad storms due to family living in tornado ally.

I even took a direct hit when the one tornado in Fort Worth ravaged the downtown area.

I was home had to run to the middle of the building to the stairwell...and all I could hear was hahahahahahas exploding and the wind that came into the building was knocking me around as if walls didn't exist.

It destroyed my apartment and the building I lived in enough that I had to stay on family members couches for a long damn time.

Don't ever want to go through that again.
