Juicy, just put a bullet through it and go get a brand new hard drive.

do like they said , just put in the win-dows cd and reboot then follow the directions. You may have to go into your BIOS and set your CD to be first boot. Just a word of advise, if you have any slave drives, unhook them. I've had XP fuck up and boot into one of the slaves and I formated it by mistake and lost everything I was trying to save. |

This might be a better option, since some viruses are not removed by format C:
Boot with a Win98 boot disk (doesn't matter what operating system you're currently using) and run the debug script by typing: Debug ?F 200 L1000 0 ?A CS:100 xxxx:0100 MOV AX,301 xxxx:0103 MOV BX,200 xxxx:0106 MOV CX,1 xxxx:0109 MOV DX,80 (81 for 2nd hard drive) xxxx:010C INT 13 xxxx:010E INT 20 xxxx:0110 (leave blank and hit enter) ?G (should read ?Program Terminated Normally?) Note that the xxxx:#### are not typed, but what should be shown on your screen. This will remove ALL partitions on the drive instantly. Then just boot with WinXP disk, repartition, format and reinstall (all those options should be presented automatically) Hope this helps. |

drive over to the new drive...that is not going to work. There is much more to a primary boot partition than just copying files over to another drive. |
