How do you track Affiliate Marketing?
 

Since some webmasters won't click on an affiliate link or banner and will type it in to avoid potentially paying a percentage of their commisions to another affiliate?

refferal commisions have nothing to do with sales comissions, so webmasters won't cut or type-in the links...


and you can't track it without refferal codes.... there's one more way to track affiliates by their URLs.. but too complicated and inconvenient...

If a company doesn't have to pay referral commissions then they have the option of giving that % to the affiliate as well, to keep them happy.

I usually just recognize people from the places I advertise, but I can't really tell if the marketing is working.

I'm starting to think it is more of a branding thing anyway.
