FACT: All women should be at home doing laundry!

At least according to Tom Leykis, syndicated radio personality here in the States.

From his site "Depending on who you ask, syndicated radio personality Tom Leykis is either a breath of fresh air or a foul defender of the male libido. An oracle of psychosocial truth or a sphincter of sexism."

Do you listen to the guy?

I do daily, the man speaks the truth!!

axelcat 05-13-2004 10:20 AM

Leykis is great! Very entertaining if you don't look into it past that.

He's wrong. Women should do a shitty job to pay the bills so I can buy neat stuff with my porn money. Just ask Rita (my girl).

My cleaning lady can shrink a laundry bag, much less anything else you give her...

:BangBang:
Thats why he doesn't have a wife. Maybe he should have one though, a big fat mamma with a hammer to teach him a thing or two about women. :winkwink:

Kassidy 05-13-2004 12:04 PM

A lot of what Tom says is true...but for the most part he just sounds like the bitter, old, bald, unhappy, lonely man that he is :)

stev0 05-13-2004 12:05 PM

i've never heard of him

jayeff 05-13-2004 12:24 PM

Tom Leykis is still living in the 50's and 60's when women could choose to work for those little "extras". These days the majority of families need that second income just to get by. One of the great frauds of successive governments is telling us how well everything is going, when household economics have in fact changed so dramatically.

And whether the feminist movement is to blame or we have simply tried to make a virtue out of a necessity, a woman's lot hasn't improved over the last 30-40 years. Once there was pressure on her to stay home and now there is even more pressure on her to be successful in a career. If there was a stage somewhere during the transition when women were allowed to make personal choices for which no-one would make them feel guilty, it was very fleeting.

Also, we haven't dealt with many aspects of this changing reality. We haven't figured out how children are supposed to fit into families which now have not one, but two part-time parents. Schools still keep to outdated schedules. Etc.

I suppose the other thing Tom missed was that with the labor supply almost double in three decades while the number of vacancies failed to keep pace, in many families the women are home doing the laundry. The problem is that so are the men...

Not only entertainig but also dead nuts on with Leykis 101.

The biggest problem that most people have with him is in thinking that he is talking about relationships when in fact he is simply talking about getting laid.
