biofuels?
 

just saw a commercial about making fuel from crops.

i've heard of this before, and i know its in use, but not alot.

so why the fuck don't countries across the world put more emphasis on growing crops for the sole purpose of making fuel?

instead everyone just keeps letting fossil fuel prices skyrocket

from what I've heard, it uses more fuel to turn the crops into gas than it produces.

they smell fishy.

Because the big oil companies like it that way.. However, many off them are making their moves to secure their place to beable to control other fuel sources such as this.

what i'm saying is that some of these corporations are exploring alternative fuels, like hydrogen cells, or hybrid cars. but they are in search of those fuels because they would still be able to keep charging people a high amount for the refill of those fuels.

on the other hand, with todays technology, if better effort was put into it, i know that biofuels could be a much better cheaper alternative.

For the same reason that Marijuana isn't legal. Special Interest groups. Who you think is in that congressmans ear everytime the subject of bio fuel comes up? It's the big oil special interest group man that's who. They don't want to:

A. Lose all that oil revenue to farmers growing plants for fuel

and

B. Don't want to have to spend the money to convert their machinery and factories over to produce a different substance.

They like it just the way they got it and until people really stand up and stop taking the shit it will stay this way.:2 cents: :2 cents: :2 cents:

i know i'm an idealist when i think of future things.

but how great would it be if we could actually put our farmers back to work instead of subsidizing them.

imagine how great that would be.
