ok, so here's my story...

i didn't know who OAEN is, who is the main cheater on this board and who is -- david stodghill.

he contacted me requesting some logo works to be done. he said he's big hosting business and that he needs a bunch of logos. first of which he wanted to be done is for Charlotte Webhosting.

he said if he's satisfied, he'll have a bunch of work for me later on, with some other of his hosting businesses, etc.

i did his logo for that "business", he said he wants to see it a bit bigger, as it'll be used in advertising, etc, i've shown him bigger, he said ok, now let me get it paid to you...

and when he wanted to paypal it to me, i don't have paypal, i asked my friend to accept it there and get it via epassporte to me. when he heard who it is from, he msgd me quickly and told me he's scammer... i didn't believe, but i deleted logo previews anyway.

however.. he, unfortunately managed to save the logo preview i've shown him in big...

he said he can't signup for epassporte, he couldn't get payment via ikobo to me (cc payment), he asked few times for wire transfer, but didn't do it...

so, now it's all fucked up. :feels-hot

anyway, i have the whole icq transcript if someone's interested in reading his bullshit, i don't mind publishing it.

he even said that he's "netnation.com" company. man, that sucks!

so, whatever...

and to be worst scenario possible, he's trying to lease his domain www.charlottewebhosting.com for $2.000/month, with my logo on it!

look on the bright side, at least he only cost you a little bit of time and not $$$

Next time your friend tells you someone is a scammer, maybe you should try believing it.

On your samples from now on you should put a watermark over them, a big watermark. huge. It still gives the client a good look at your work, but it renders the sample useless for them to steal. Once they pay, you remove the watermark and upload it for them or send it to them etc.

A little precaution in business is smart, not paranoid, especially with sharks like this stodgehill guy around.
