Is it hard for some of you to understand that the Iraqi prisoner pics shown where the least horrible of the bunch? Others portray rape, torture, murder by beating and so many disgusting stuff.

Your point is well-made about the ppl dying over there everyday. Death is in fact death. Its final. But the reality is there are also certain ways to die, and different reasons. Think of that before you sluff off an innocent American civilian, TRYING TO LEAVE IRAQ MIND YOU, getting beheaded and having it filmed. It deserves more than a mere and trite "shit happens" comment. Bad comparison. How long did the people in the car fear for their lives BEFORE the crash? I don't think the guy who had his head chopped off was happy for the few last days of his life.

In fact the report out from the Red Cross today (that was actually compiled several weeks ago) said that fully 90% of the Iraqis imprisoned SHOULDN'T be. That the imprisonments were gross over-reactions by Bush & company.

a few things the first contrators killed were soldiers of fortune.This guy who was beheaded was arrested by the iraqi police and then given over to the us military .they held him with no lawyer. His parents had filed papers in federal court for his release .then he somehow wound up in terrorist hands. isnt it amazing this happened just when the whole iraqi prisoner thing was really hitting the fan.

We live in such a sick, twisted world in which there is not one day that doesn't pass without having cases of domestic rape, violence, murder, abuse... the list goes on. In times of war, the whole ordeal is multiplied by cultural and religious differences, sharp hatred -- and leads ultimately to tortures (followed by death) and beheadings.
