Bush To Reveal 'Life On Mars' And More 'UFO' News...

Bush is to give a big speech soon about space exploration. Biggest speech yet outlining America's goals in space. With all the 'unusual' data about Mars, word on the street is he'll announce life on Mars and some UFO data. In the meantime, here's some interesting news from south of the border. Video to come.

Mexico Air Force Video Creates UFO Stir
Tue May 11, 2004 06:06 PM ET

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - The Mexican Air Force has released footage of what a UFO expert said were 11 invisible unidentified flying objects picked up by an infrared camera as they whizzed around a surveillance plane. A long-time believer in flying saucers, journalist Jaime Maussan told a news conference on Tuesday the objects were real and seemed "intelligent" after they at one point changed direction and surrounded the plane chasing them.

"They were invisible to the eye but they were there, there is no doubt about it. They had mass, they had energy and they were moving about," he said, after showing a 15-minute video he said the Defense Ministry gave him permission to publicize.

The ministry confirmed to Reuters it had provided the video, filmed by the Air Force on March 5 over the eastern coastal state of Campeche.

"We are not alone! This is so weird," one of the pilots can be heard yelling, after the plane's crew switched on an infrared camera to track the objects, first picked up by radar.

The film, recorded by a plane looking for drugs trafficking near the Gulf of Mexico, shows 11 objects as blobs of light that hover in formation or dart about, sometimes disappearing into cloud.

Mexico's most popular nightly news broadcast showed the video on Monday night.

Interviewed by Mausson on another section of the video, the pilots said they grew nervous when the objects, still invisible, turned back during a chase and surrounded the plane.

"There was a moment when ... the screens showed they were behind us, to the left and in front of us. It was at that point that I felt a bit tense," said Maj. Magdaleno Castanon.

Mexico has a long history of fanciful UFO sightings, most of which are dismissed by scientists as space debris, missiles, weather balloons, natural weather phenomena or hoaxes.

yea Bush always seems to give some big speech about Space exploration and spending more money on it, when he is down in the polls..

He gave a speech on it about a year ago, and another speech on his first campaign the first time around. I live here on the Space Coast and I've seen nothing Bush talked about except fund cuts.. But hell it's election year, so no biggie right we are supposed to expect big promises with little in return.

Rictor 05-11-2004 05:33 PM

I can just imagine that speech.

"My fellow Americans, there's green evil doers on Mars. We need your support to fight this intergalactic terrorism. Please vote for me in the upcoming election."

MagicJohn 05-11-2004 08:32 PM

I guess in his speach he will officially: declear the war to the mars to bring to the whole universe the democracy.

But must be interesting to see some soldiers are fucking some aliens :) thats probably a new niche

He needs to cliffnotes that for the southerners.

"Green. Bad. Terrorists. War."

All I can say is it would be the best exit strategy any president ever came up with. If Bush alluded to be willing to engage in 'more research and discussion' about UFOs he would be elected so fast it would make his head spin.

Kerry could 'try' to say it but it wouldn't hold up because on Republican Presidents ever do anything about UFOs. Carter and Clinton both swore up and down they'd disclose something and didn't do squat.

Bush on the other hand as well as Cheney did promise to look into the matter during their campaign but 911 happened and it got put on the back burner.

Bush would cement his chances especially when he makes the announcement on the discoveries gleaned from the Mars missions and discloses a new space exploration strategy. That would mean money for all the industries especially the energy industries. So since most of us greedy asses have our stocks in these areas we won't say shit. Yet the ONLY way he can justify the enormous costs of this venture would be to 'tease' us about life out there. Other than that there's no fucking way we can justify spending trillions to just buzz around space.
