Man that was a brutal hit... poor Sammy, his head must have just been swimmin... i'm sure the rink was spinning around faster than a tilt'a whirl.

Sure is awesome of him though to not just lie there and play dead. He really did his best to get up and get back to the bench like a trooper.

Yeah great hit, too bad it didn't help the Leafs win. My boy Darcy always plays hard. God love em.

I love that hit, really, when I was watching the game I thought they were gonna blow a whistle cause he didn't get up first. But if you think about it.. when he just got to the bench, TECHNICALLY he wasn't on just yet, and a man had already left the bench.. So if the referees really wanted to be dicks, they could've called "too many men on the ice" which would have called back that Roenick goal, and granted Toronto a powerplay.. Still though, GREAT hit.

If you're within 5' of the bench, and do not play the puck during a change, it's not too many men on the ice.

He wasn't going to be involved in making any plays and was struggling to get back over the boards. That isn't too many men.
