    name your private parts

    I was talking to some friends the other day and the subject of my son?s circumcision came up and they got really uncomfortable when I used the word penis. They said it was a very direct word and I should use pee pee instead.
    So I was just curious as to what other Americans call their children's private parts. In Denmark we have specific names we use when we talk to our children, but I only know of penis and vagina in English.

    Do you use other names that are appropriate for children? Some people get offended when you use the medical terms?

                      It sounds to me like your friends are severely repressed. "Penis" is not a bad or offensive word. You can call it "pee pee", "weiner", "schlong" or "roast beef on rye" but you're still talking about a dick.
