How do you think that any soldier that now admits to committing war crimes should be punished.

i think they should just get court marshalled thats it. after all look what the scum bags are doing to our soldiers that they have captured. If i were a soldier i might have taken it to the same level i don't think i would have put a leash on them or made them do obscene shit but i would def beat the living shit out of everyone one of them. :2 cents:

Dismissal from the military, fines and jail time is fine. Maybe their prison guards will treat them the same way. If they dont, Im sure the other prisoners will.

There are all kinds of atrocities, and I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50 calibre machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages. All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare, all of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions .

Nobody crying, just most people want to blame the President for war crimes because they support a candidate this is an admited war criminal.

Most prisoners in there are innocent, are held captive based on suspicions only and get released within a few months.

No body said those soldiers were right, but most of the U.S. people taken as prisoners were treated a lot worse.

Most prisoners were just found dead.

Jail sounds about right.. a crime is a crime.

I didn't say Pearl was in Iraq, just wanted to point out that not every prisoner is treated with hot meals. People in those jails are the same.

As far as Lynch, guess I missed the update. I got tired of hearing about her for a while.

Bodies of Four Missing Americans Found
Very, very sad. NBC is reporting the bodies of four American contractors have been found in a shallow grave on the road between Abu Ghraib and Fallujah--and that the bodies were badly mutilated.

This was taken from the right wing CNN media.

Fletch, this is not a personal attack. Dont take it personal, but what is the arguement. The lynch thing was just off of the top of my head. It it ok if I say I stand corrected.

Surely your arguement isn't that all prisoners taken by the people we are fighting against has been humane.


I never said that I condone the stuff the U.S. did their prisoners. I just dont like the way it is being politicized. Put those soldiers in jail, but dont try to win an election on it.

NEWSFLASH,
The geneva/Hague convention does not apply to insurgents or belligerents, they have no such rules to abide by when they capture american citizens or soldiers.
It might not be right, but they do not have to treat anyone humanely, so comparing the two is useless.

Maybe your right, but for the purpose of this thread, I was responding to a poster that compared the two.

The poster compared the U.S. soldiers treatment of prisoners to that of the Mississippi guy. (hamill)
